This Privacy Policy explains how FPL Wizard ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal information of its users. By using the FPL Wizard app or website, you agree to this policy.

What We Collect

We collect the following information during registration, app usage, or purchases:

• Username – does not have to match your real name
• Email Address – collected during signup
• Name – collected only during billing (if processed via the web)
• Country (via IP) – used to comply with local laws and regulations
• Age – collected during signup to ensure legal compliance
• Fantasy Premier League (FPL) ID – collected on signup
• FPL Data – such as leagues, selected rivals, team and player names, seasons active, and region
• Site Refresh Timestamps – collected for performance monitoring and fraud prevention

How We Collect It

Data is collected through user input during registration, app usage, and purchases, as well as automatically through app functionality (such as IP-based country detection).

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

• Contractual necessity – to provide and maintain app functionality
• Legal obligation – to comply with applicable regulations
• Legitimate interests – to improve our services and prevent abuse
• Consent – for analytics, marketing, and push notifications

How We Use Your Information

We use collected data for:

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Third-Party Services

We do not sell or rent user data. However, we use third-party services for essential operations:

• Microsoft Azure – database hosting (Sweden, EU)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – email processing (data not stored)
• Digital Ocean – backend processing (data temporarily cached)
• Hetzner – backend processing (data temporarily cached)
• Google – Firebase and analytics services
• PostHog – application analytics
• HotJar – web user behavior analytics (only with consent)

Use of Hashed Identifiable Data

Hashed identifiable data (e.g. email) may be used to inform users about new features or upcoming FPL seasons. This data may be uploaded to marketing platforms such as Google, Meta, or X (Twitter) for communication purposes. It is not sold or shared in raw form.

Cookies and Tracking

FPL Wizard uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and personalization. Users can manage cookie preferences through browser settings or app settings (where applicable).

Data Security

User data is securely stored in an encrypted database hosted on Microsoft Azure in Stockholm (Sweden). Access is restricted and monitored. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

User Rights and Choices

Account Deletion

Users can request account deletion via the “Edit Profile” section. Once initiated, the deletion process includes a 48-hour grace period during which the request can be canceled. After this, all personal data will be permanently erased within 48 additional hours.

Certain minimal data (FPL ID and email) may be retained until the end of the current FPL season (no later than August 1 each year) to prevent fraud or abuse. This data is not used for marketing.

Data Access (Snapshot)

Users can request a full copy of their stored data by emailing admin@fplwizard.com. Data will be provided within 14 days.

Opt-Out of Marketing

Users may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time through the app or by contacting support. Essential service notifications cannot be opted out of.

International Data Transfers

Data is stored on servers located in the EU (Sweden) to ensure compliance with GDPR standards. If data is transferred outside the EU, it will only occur under lawful data transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Children's Privacy

FPL Wizard is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from minors. If we learn that we have collected such data, it will be deleted promptly.

Compliance with Legal Frameworks

FPL Wizard complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage users to review this policy regularly.
